Cult movie Slc Punk! is getting a sequel, 16 years after the original debuted.
The 1998 film about an anarchist punk living in conservative Salt Lake City, Utah is set to receive a follow-up titled SLC Punk 2: Punk's Dead.
The original film's writer/director James Merendino made the announcement on Tuesday (06May14), and also revealed its stars Devon Sawa, Michael A. Goorjian, Adam Pascal and James Duval will return to reprise their roles.
Merendino did not mention if Scream star Matthew Lillard will return as the main character, Steven 'Stevo' Levy.
The director also revealed he has launched a campaign on crowd-funding site Indiegogo.com to help finance a major concert scene on 20 June (14), with headliners including Screeching Weasel and The Dwarves, and over 2,000 SLC Punk! fans in attendance.
The actor says he isn't "holding out for more money or doing anything like that".
The drama will be making its return to the streaming service in the near future.
