Former GUNS N' ROSES guitar ace Slash refuses to accept credit for the band's biggest hit SWEET CHILD O' MINE - insisting he came up with the famous opening solo by accident.
Slash's riff is ranked among the best ever by rock enthusiasts - but he prefers to laud frontman Axl Rose for moulding it into a hit single.

"I've got to give credit to Axl Rose and the other guys in the band for really turning it into a song".
