Pakistani pop singer ALI ZAFAR and his fiancée have been released by kidnappers after their family agreed to pay a huge ransom. The couple was snatched from outside a shop in India on Saturday (12Jan08). Hours later, Zafar's family received a call demanding 2.5 million rupees ($67,000/GBP33, 500) to free the couple. The kidnapper forced the couple into the singer's car at gunpoint and made him drive for three hours on various roads. After collecting the ransom the couple were freed. The case is being investigated by local police.
The actor says he isn't "holding out for more money or doing anything like that".
The drama will be making its return to the streaming service in the near future.
