Five male singers will be chosen to create the "ultimate Latino super group" during the finale of the show on Sunday (13Dec15), and they will already have a best-selling artist in their corner with Puerto Rican star Wisin as a producer.

Wisin tells the Latin Times, "It's such a privilege to be able to work on the production of this album, and be able to add my two cents to the musical careers of these talented young people, who have a lifetime to continue to pursue their dreams and succeed."

La Banda is executive produced by Cowell and Ricky Martin, who has served as a judge along with Laura Pausini and Alejandro Sanz.

The winners will land a contract with Sony Music Latin and Cowell's SYCO Music, the recording label responsible for some of the world's biggest selling artists, including One Direction.

Martin will manage the winning band.
