The I Met A Girl singer, 22, shared a photo of his smashed up car on social media late on Friday (01Jan16) and expressed his gratitude to have walked away from the wreckage largely unscathed.

"Angels were watching me tonight," he captioned the snap. "Thank you good lord. Thank you...."

He followed up the post on Saturday (02Jan16) by updating fans on his condition as he prepared to hobble out onstage at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee.

"Thanks everyone for your sweet messages last night...," he wrote. "Only thing wrong is its (sic) hard to walk on my left knee but I think time will heal that. all is well. Thank you Jesus."
