Singer John Farnham has cancelled two shows in Australia after falling sick with a throat infection.
The English-born rocker, who grew up Down Under, kicked off his Australian tour last week (ends09Oct11) to mark 25 years since the release of his Whispering Jack album.
However, the star has been forced to postpone two shows in Sydney, on Tuesday (11Oct11) and Wednesday (12Oct11), due to ill health.
A statement posted on the star's website reads, "John Farnham's first two sell out 'Whispering Jack - 25 Years On' Sydney shows, at the State Theatre (on) Tuesday and Wednesday this week, are to be postponed due to a throat infection. This decision was made following John's doctor's advice."
Many ticket-holders couldn't get into the O2 Arena show on Tuesday night (September 19th) because they didn't bring photo ID to match their booking.
An album re-release, a new song and a documentary mark the singer's legacy this year.
The film will be the first in the Marvel Cinematic Universe led by a person of colour.
The actor plays the titular hero in the forthcoming adaptation.
