Sears has acknowledged that it has pulled its commercials from online repeats of last weekend's Saturday Night Live sketch titled Djesus Uncrossed, in which Christoph Waltz portrays a revenge-seeking Jesus. In a statement to the Hollywood Reporter, Sears said that in response to a letter-writing campaign launched by the conservative Christian group American Family Association, it took steps to ensure that our commercials do not air online exactly as they did in this situation. The company said it assured the protesters that it wasn't supposed to happen.
