Joseph 'rev Run' Simmons and Darryl 'dmc' Mcdaniels celebrated the 30th anniversary of their pioneering rap group Run-Dmc at their first U.K. show in more than a decade on Sunday (19Jan15).
The duo performed hits including It's Tricky, King Of Rock and My Adidas at London's Scala as part of a gig to mark the 30th anniversary of Vodafone's first U.K. mobile call.
MCDaniels and Simmons were joined by Game Of Thrones actor Raleigh Ritchie at one point as he realised a lifelong dream to perform with the rappers on a rendition of their Aerosmith collaboration Walk This Way.
The duo also took time out to pay tribute to late Dj Jason 'Jam Master Jay' Mizell during the set.
Mizell was murdered in a studio altercation in Queens, New York, in 2002.
Calling on fans at the gig to wave peace signs above their heads in tribute, Simmons said, "Several years ago my Dj was killed by violence. We need to stop the violence in hip-hop. This is for Jam Master Jay, our former soldier."
