GUNS N' ROSES frontman Axl Rose insists the bands's new album has taken so long to produce because he refuses to release a bad album. The PARADISE CITY rocker has been working on CHINESE DEMOCRACY for over a decade, but Rose defends the time it's taken for the album to come together. He tells New York magazine, "It's not about being a control freak. It's about maybe being smart enough to go, 'Nah, that's a bad idea.' "That's all it's about - keeping the ability to at least have a shot, as opposed to something that's just an obvious disaster. "I want to make a good record. I don't want to throw a brick." The band continues to tour and Rose insists the album will be completed before the end of the year (06).
