Late heavy rocker Ronnie James Dio's son Dan Padavona has released his debut novel.
The author's first horror tale, Storberry, follows the fortunes of locals battling a vampire invasion in their small town.
He tells Blabbermouth.net, "It is an old-school, throwback horror novel depicting a small Virginia town attempting to survive a vampire infestation. I would describe it as a combination of Nosferatu and Night Of The Living Dead."
Padavona's father, who fronted bands like Dio and Black Sabbath, lost his battle with stomach cancer in May, 2010. The author performed the eulogy at the rocker's funeral.
The film is part of a new DLF project, 'Playing Lynch'.
