Oscar-winning British screenwriter Sir Ronald Harwood is mourning the death of his wife.
The actor-turned-writer, who won an Oscar for The Pianist, has confirmed his beloved partner Natasha passed away on Monday night (01Jul13).
Harwood, 78, tells Britain's Daily Telegraph, "It is with great sadness that I have to tell you that Natasha died... suddenly, and with no pain."
No details about her death were available as Wenn went to press, but she is believed to have struggled with ill health for some time.
Harwood's play Quartet was turned into a 2012 film directed by Dustin Hoffman, and late last year (12), the writer organised a private screening of the movie for medical staff who had been treating his wife of 53 years during a bout of ill health.
