Jazz legend SONNY ROLLINS refuses to bow to commercialism in the music industry, as he insists art comes first.

The WAY OUT WEST superstar,74, is disappointed with the way many musicians are forced to "sell out" in order to make money for greedy record company executives.

He says, "It's becoming increasingly difficult in our society to think of art before commerce.

"So whatever I do, I'll be keeping true to myself without compromise."
