Alternative rockers American Football are reuniting for their first live shows in 15 years.

The cult trio, fronted by Mike Kinsella, will hit the stage at the Pygmalion Music Festival in Illinois in September (14), joining the likes of Chvrches, Real Estate and Speedy Ortiz as part of the line-up.

The musicians will then follow that up with a more intimate gig at New York's Webster Hall in October (14).

The group initially parted ways in 2000 after just three years together.
