Southern rock guitarist Buren Fowler has died, aged 54.
His former band Drivin' N Cryin' broke the sad news on their Facebook.com page over the weekend (08-09Mar14), and announced plans for a memorial service at the 40 Watt Club in Athens, Georgia on 5 April (14).
Fowler joined Drivin' N Cryin' after the release of their 1988 major label debut, Whisper Tames the Lion. He recorded three albums with the group before leaving in 1993.
Fowler also served as R.E.M. star Peter Buck's guitar technician and collaborator.
Many ticket-holders couldn't get into the O2 Arena show on Tuesday night (September 19th) because they didn't bring photo ID to match their booking.
An album re-release, a new song and a documentary mark the singer's legacy this year.
The film will be the first in the Marvel Cinematic Universe led by a person of colour.
The actor plays the titular hero in the forthcoming adaptation.
