Reggae star LUCIANO has been charged with harbouring a fugitive who allegedly shot and wounded three police officers.
The Grammy-nominated singer, real name Jepther MCLymont, was charged and released on bail on Monday (30Mar09) following a shooting at his Kingston, Jamaica home last Wednesday (25Mar09).
Jamaican police are reported to have stormed the star's home in search of a wanted man, Andrew Senior, who is said to have injured three police officers before he was killed during the hour-long shoot-out.
Two of the injured cops are reportedly still in hospital, while the other officer has since been released.
Luciano, whose 2001 release A New Day earned him a Grammy nomination for best reggae album, has reportedly denied knowing that Senior was wanted by police in connection with criminal activities.
