Alan Wills, founder of Liverpool, England-based record label Deltasonic, has suffered serious head injuries following a bike accident last week (ends09May14).
Wills is currently listed as critically ill at University Hospital Aintree and police are now investigating the circumstances of the incident, which took place on Thursday (08May14) in Liverpool.
Merseyside Police Inspector Mike MCFall says the authorities are appealing for "anyone who might have seen something to call police, adding, "The information you provide could be really important for our inquiries."
Wills, who also performed as a drummer for Liverpool bands Shack and Top, launched Deltasonic as a record label in 2010.
