Country star RALPH EZELL has died after suffering a heart attack on Friday (30Nov07). The 54-year-old bass player was a founding member of beloved band Shenandoah, which recorded five number one hits, including The Church On Cumberland Road and Two Dozen Roses. Ezell will be laid to rest in Union, Mississippi on Friday (07Dec07). A memorial service is being planned in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, where the group was formed.
Ahead of their upcoming tour, and prior to the release of their long awaited album, Smoke Fairies played a great warm-up gig at Elsewhere in Margate.
