R. Kelly has postponed his upcoming tour of South Africa just days before the shows were due to kick off.
The R&B singer was scheduled to take his Single Ladies Tour to the country later this week (beg18Mar13), but the shows in Johannesburg and Durban have now been pushed back until August (13).
Organisers have cited logistical difficulties for the decision and insisted the team needs more time to put together the concerts.
A statement from Afropulse Entertainment, the promoters behind the tour, reads, "Both the promoter and R. Kelly have agreed to postpone the dates of the Single Ladies Tour in South Africa, from the initially announced dates of 21st and 23rd March 2013 to the 8th and 10th of August 2013."
The concerts at the Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg and Durban's Moses Mabhida Stadium were due to take place on Thursday (21Mar13) and Saturday (23Mar13), but have been rescheduled for 8 and 10 August (13).
