Hollywood producer Daniel Blatt has passed away at the age of 76.
The moviemaker died last week (09Oct13) of pancreatic cancer in Los Angeles.
Blatt, who started his career as an attorney, was known for his work on the 1981 cult horror film The Howling and the 1976 U.S. Tv movie Raid on Entebbe, for which he earned an Emmy nomination as well as a Golden Globe Award for best telefilm.
Throughout his four-decade long career, he worked on mostly made-for-Tv movies, but also produced feature films including Independence Day and Cujo in 1983.
Many ticket-holders couldn't get into the O2 Arena show on Tuesday night (September 19th) because they didn't bring photo ID to match their booking.
An album re-release, a new song and a documentary mark the singer's legacy this year.
The actor plays the titular hero in the forthcoming adaptation.
