British royal PRINCE WILLIAM surprised fellow charity runners yesterday (10JUL04) as he joined 70,000 people nationwide for a one-mile (1.6 kilometres) fundraiser.
The university student, 22, whizzed past shocked runners in a race for SPORT RELIEF - as he managed the distance in six minutes and 10 seconds.
The Prince says, "I'm very pleased about that time. But HARRY would have done it faster."
Prince Harry had to miss the run due to a knee injury.
Prince William adds, "It was sad that Harry did not run. I would have tripped him up so he wouldn't beat me."11/07/2004 14:29
