Police in Texas have launched an investigation after instruments were stolen from Leon Russell's tour bus while his band slept.
The veteran musician's show in San Antonio on Sunday (23Nov14) was thrown into jeopardy after equipment worth around $4,000 (£2,500) was swiped from the coach on the morning of the gig.
Reports suggest the thieves took the instruments while the band was sleeping on the bus, which was parked outside the city's Aztec Theatre.
The show managed to go ahead as planned using borrowed instruments, and police are now investigating the theft, which included a mandolin and three electric guitars.
Guitarist Beau Charron tells Ksat.com that his beloved Stratocaster was among the guitars swiped, adding, "I've had (it) for almost 20 years, and it was the first guitar I ever bought."
Two weeks ahead of Independent Venue Week, Dry Cleaning made 'Britain's Best Small Venue 2015' (NME) the second port of call on their 2020 tour.
