The World's First Plus-size Supermodel Tess Holliday Has Revealed She Left School At 17 Because Cruel Kids Made Her Life A Living Hell.
The size-22 glamour goddess admits her teenage years were awful, poking fun at her weight, look and her family's financial struggles.
And she admits the worst moment came when her paralyzed mother came to visit the school - and the kids thought it was hilarious she couldn't walk.
Holliday tells Access Hollywood, "My mum was shot by her partner twice in the head when I was nine and basically left for dead... She survived but she had to learn to walk and talk again.
"At the time my mum was in a wheelchair and she was bald and she had a hat on and my grandmother wheeled her into the classroom... and everyone thought it was funny that my mum couldn't walk."
Holliday hopes she's making all the tormentors feel terrible after signing to Milk Model Management earlier this year (15), becoming the largest plus-size model to be signed to a mainstream agency.
Two weeks ahead of Independent Venue Week, Dry Cleaning made 'Britain's Best Small Venue 2015' (NME) the second port of call on their 2020 tour.
