Former S Club 7 star Paul Cattermole has urged the band to reunite but Hannah Spearritt poked fun at the idea.
Former S Club 7 star Paul Cattermole has urged the band to reunite.
The 36-year-old singer - who left the group in 2002 citing ''creative differences'' - messaged bandmates Jo O'Meara, Rachel Stevens, Jon Lee, Bradley Mcintosh, Hannah Spearritt and Tina Barrett online to push for the group to reform.
He wrote on Twitter: ''please re-unite guy's, pleeeeaasse (sic)''
Hannah poked fun at prospect of the 'Reach' hitmakers - who were catapulted to the spotlight as a seven-piece pop group in the late 90s - teaming up once again, hinting they were too old to do so.
She replied: ''OK lol! Let's get those Zimmer frames out.(sic)''
In October 2008 it was announced that Jo, Paul and Bradley were to perform a mini-reunion tour at a number of universities and nightclubs playing a selection of chart-topping songs.
Since then there have been rumours that S Club will fully reunite with people wondering whether they will appear on ITV2's reality series 'The Big Reunion' which follows bands who found fame in the 1990s and early 2000s who take to the stage for a comeback performance.
The pair teamed together for another round of S&M romance in 'Fifty Shades Darker'.
The musician worked with screenwriter Johnny Harris on the new movie.
