Don Imus's second day back at work was plagued by technical problems that produced what New York Daily News critic David Hinckley described today (Wednesday) as "one of the ugliest technical train wrecks in recent radio and TV memory." WABC-AM program director Phil Boyce admitted to the newspaper that the broadcast "wasn't one of our finest moments" and noted that it was complicated by the fact that "this was just his second show for us. We had no backup tape to put on while we worked to fix it." The program originated at the studios of cable operator RFD-TV, but it was not clear who was responsible for the technical melt-down.
The season 7 premiere guests featured some cast members we haven't seen much of for a while.
