Except for the absence of the NCAA basketball finals, the titles of the top-ten finishers on the Nielsen ratings list were pretty much a carbon copy of those a week ago, although the number of viewers for all shows declined slightly across the board. Topping the list again was ABC's Monday edition of Dancing With The Stars , which recorded 20.9 million viewers, versus last week's 21.8 million. The two American Idol installments on Fox followed. CBS's NCIS placed fourth, followed by Tuesday's results edition of Dancing with the Stars . Ratings for the nightly newscasts also remained little changed. NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams led with 8.7 million viewers. ABC World News with Diane Sawyer came in second with 7.7 million viewers, while the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric trailed with 5.5 million viewers. Among total adults, CBS led with an average 5.8 rating and a 10 share. ABC was second with a 4.9/8. Fox followed with a 4.8/8, while NBC trailed with a 3.3/5.
