LATEST: American newsreader ALYCIA LANE has been fired after her fight with a New York cop last month (Dec07). Lane's bosses at Philadelphia's CBS 3 have dismissed the 35-year-old because of "off camera judgements". Station president and general manager Michael Colleran says, "We have concluded that it would be impossible for Alycia to continue to report the news as she, herself, has become the focus of so many news stories." Lane first made headlines last year (07) when she emailed saucy pictures of herself to a married co-worker. On 17 December (07) she is accused of punching a female New York Police Department cop during a road rage confrontation. She is due to appear in court in Manhattan in April (08) charged with felony second-degree assault.
