Actress/singer MARIE LILLO has lost her battle with cancer. She was 81.
The musical star passed away on 1 February (11) in Los Angeles, her niece, Connie Lillo Thieman has revealed.
Lillo began her 60-year career in entertainment as an opera singer, before becoming a stage regular in musical comedies such as Off the River and Through the Woods, a performance which landed her a Drama League Award in 1998.
She made her Broadway debut in David Merrick's 42nd Street and later starred alongside the late Leslie Nielsen in a touring production of comedy Deathtrap.
Lillo filmed a handful of TV movies and in 2000, made an appearance in hit crime drama Law & Order.
The cast had teased something big was coming and all was revealed on Monday night.
The couple have recently found themselves dragged into the Brangelina divorce and even forced to deny split rumours.
