An assault case against former MUNGO JERRY banjo player PAUL KING has been dropped - after the star agreed to keep the peace. The IN THE SUMMERTIME hitmaker was due to stand trial on Monday (01JAN07) for an alleged attack on ex-girlfriend FIONA SWEET and pub landlord JOHNNIE PUSEY in July of last year (06), but the trial was dropped. A spokesperson for Liskeard Magistrates Court in Cornwall, England confirmed King had agreed to be bound over and as a result, Sweet and Pusey's legal representatives would not take any further action.
