Former French model Bernadette Bishop has died, aged 72.
The beauty passed away this week (beg18Aug14) after suffering a brain haemorrhage. She had been diagnosed with leukaemia two months earlier, according to Britain's Daily Mail newspaper.
Bishop, the wife of fashion photographer John Bishop, moved into the retail business in the 1990s after years of modelling. She opened a kitchen shop in London with her friend June Summerill, who writes in a post on Facebook.com, "We are very sorry, but due to our great loss, our shop and online store will remain closed until Saturday 23rd Aug... thank you for your support during this difficult time."
Bishop's son Seb is Ceo of Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle company Goop.
The actress thinks it would be tough to recast her character, Winifred Sanderson.
