Mexican TV star EDGAR PONCE died in a motorcycle accident while filming a commercial yesterday (5MAY05).
Three other actors, also riding motorcycles, were left injured after a car plowed into them during the shoot.
Ponce was shooting the advertisement for SOLO PARA MUJERES (FOR WOMEN ONLY), a live male striptease show, on a main artery in southern Mexico.
He was rushed to hospital in the capital Mexico City but died in the early hours of yesterday morning.
A spokesman at Mexico City's attorney general's office said the driver was speeding and had alcohol on his breath, but it hasn't been determined if he had passed the legal limit. He added that the driver and the producer could be held responsible for the actor's death - because producer SERGIO MAYER did not have permission to film and had not requested police assistance.06/05/2005 17:06
