Mexican TV star EDGAR PONCE died in a motorcycle accident while filming a commercial yesterday (5MAY05).
Three other actors, also riding motorcycles, were left injured after a car plowed into them during the shoot.
Ponce was shooting the advertisement for SOLO PARA MUJERES (FOR WOMEN ONLY), a live male striptease show, on a main artery in southern Mexico.
He was rushed to hospital in the capital Mexico City but died in the early hours of yesterday morning.
A spokesman at Mexico City's attorney general's office said the driver was speeding and had alcohol on his breath, but it hasn't been determined if he had passed the legal limit.
