American death metal band ACHERON is planning to split - after 22 years together.
The group was founded in 1988 in Ohio by musician Vincent Crowle, but they shocked fans earlier this week (begs19Apr10) by announcing they will "be done for good" soon.
The band reveals the news in a post on its MySpace page entitled 'ACHERON 1988-2010 (Call it Quits) Farewell Shows Coming...'.
But there is some good news for Acheron fans - they will head out on the road for a final tour in January (11).
