Canadian reggae band Magic! has climbed to the top of the U.K. singles chart with its debut release Rude.

The catchy tune entered the countdown last month (Jul14), but on Sunday (03Aug14), it knocked Cheryl Cole's Crazy Stupid Love from the top spot, earning Magic! their first U.K. number one.

Cole's song, featuring rapper Tinie Tempah, slips to two, while dance vocalist and producer Zhu comes in at number three with his first U.K. Top 40 single, Faded.

Ella Henderson's Ghost and Britain's Got Talent finalists Bars and Melody's Hopeful round out the new top five.

Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran's X continues to rule the U.K. albums chart for the sixth consecutive week.

Dolly Parton's Blue Smoke - The Best Of remains at number two, while Eric Clapton's tribute to late U.S. singer/songwriter JJ Cale, Eric Clapton & Friends - The Breeze, takes third place.
