Lebanese love story UNDER THE BOMBS has been named the Arab world's Best Film at the Dubai Film Festival. The film's star Nada Abou Farhat also won a Best Actress prize for her role as a Shi'ite Muslim divorcee who falls for a Christian taxi driver. She dedicated her award to those killed in the month-long 2006 war between Israel and Hezbollah guerrillas. The fourth annual awards show was held on Saturday (15Dec07).
'Smalls Change (Meditations Upon Ageing)' arrives in April.
The two awards have made for a great 72nd birthday present for the country music icon.
