Eurovision Song Contest winners LORDI have been forced to scrap an appearance at the Wacken Open Air festival in Germany because they're too busy touring with Ozzfest.
The Finnish heavy metal group were scheduled to be among headliners at the August (07) music show but they won't be able to quit the Ozzfest tour to honour their commitment.
In a statement yesterday (19Apr07), the group says, "It is with deep and genuine regret that Lordi are forced to cancel their scheduled appearance at this year's Wacken Open Air.
"The band has been offered a headline, main stage slot at this year's Ozzfest, and so are unable to leave that tour in order to perform at Wacken.
"The band wish to sincerely apologise to the booker, the organisers, and especially their fans for this situation, but their hands are tied."
Lordi has already been confirmed for the 2008 Wacken festival.
