British actor Jim Darrah has died following an attack at a pub in Hertfordshire, England on Saturday (23Aug14).
The Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels star fell and hit his head after being punched at a venue in Hertford. He was taken to a local hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police have now launched an investigation. Detective Chief Inspector Jerome Kent of the Hertfordshire Police, says, "We are investigating this man's death thoroughly to establish exactly what happened and the cause of his tragic death, which we are treating as suspicious. We are currently questioning a 26-year-old man from Buntingford, who has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody at this time."
Darrah, who appeared alongside Vinnie Jones in the British gangster movie, was working as a security guard at the time of the incident. He also worked as a part-time model and provided voiceovers for a number of video games.
The film will be the first in the Marvel Cinematic Universe led by a person of colour.
The actor plays the titular hero in the forthcoming adaptation.
