British actress Liz Dawn is to undergo surgery to fit a pacemaker after she suffered a heart attack in May (13).
The 73-year-old Coronation Street star has been receiving treatment for a heart condition since her terrifying health scare, and it has now emerged she is to undergo an operation on Friday (27Sep13).
Dawn will have a pacemaker fitted in a bid to regulate her heartbeat, according to Britain's The Sun.
The actress retired in 2008 due to health problems. Her character in the British soap opera, Vera Duckworth, was killed off by heart failure.
The Brits teamed up at the Hollywood Rose Bowl to perform a cover of The Purple One's 'Nothing Compares 2 U'.
