Over two million Britons have applied to tickets for the London LIVE 8 charity concert on 2 July (05).
Organisers gave the public a week to text a number using their mobile phones at a cost of GBP1.50. 75,000 winners selected by the end of next week (ends25JUN05), will receive two tickets each.
The contest has raised over GBP3 million. Half the money will go to charity THE PRINCE'S TRUST. The remainder will go towards the cost of staging the bash in London's Hyde Park as well as other Live 8 gigs being held across Europe.
