Literary Agent Timothy Seldes Has Died At The Age Of 88.
Late actress Marian Seldes' brother passed away of pneumonia at his home in Washington on Saturday (05Dec15), according to the New York Times.
Seldes grew up in a literary home as the son of journalist/critic Gilbert Seldes and he worked at publishing houses MACmillan, Harcourt Brace and Doubleday.
In 1972, he bought his agency, Russell & Volkening, from its founders and took over representing clients including Eudora Welty, Saul Bellow and George Plimpton.
He retired after selling the company in 2012.
His sister, Marian, passed away in 2014.
