Agina, 24, who was known as 'Chino', was sitting in a parked car in front of the Stony Sub eaterie in the early hours of the morning when a gunman approached the vehicle and fired several times.

A Chicago Police Department spokesperson confirmed to Billboard.com that a 24-year-old victim was shot outside the Stony Sub at approximately 1:50 a.m. on March 27. He was taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Lil Durk paid tribute to his manager on Twitter.com, writing, "Rest up Chino and salute my bro".

A spokesman for Lil Durk's label, Def Jam Recordings, says in a statement, "We are deeply saddened by the news of this tragedy. The Def Jam family shares our most heartfelt sympathy, condolences and prayers with the family and loved ones of Uchenna Agina."

The investigation is ongoing and police have yet to make an arrest.
