The 'Glee' star admits she is happy with her slim figure but living in Los Angeles leads her to worry about her looks.
She said: "I love myself, the way I look, my body, but sometimes I can't help but feel insecure here. It plays with your head."
The 23-year-old actress also confesses she was the only girl from her school not to have had plastic surgery on her face.
She told Women's Health magazine: "I'm the only girl in my high school not to get a nose job."
She also credits her toned physique with a strict vegan diet combined with rehearsals for 'Glee' - which often see her in energetic and fast-paced routines.
Discussing her diet decisions, Lea confesses reading the book 'Skinny Bitch' helped put her on the right track.
She said: "It slapped me in the face. My idea of heaven used to be relaxing at home with a cheese plate and champagne."
