Soul supergroup KOOL + THE GANG have changed their signature sound on their upcoming album in an effort to appeal to a wider audience.
The veteran Joanna hitmakers will release Still Kool in August (07) - their first LP for 10 years - and hope their new sound will attract fans of the younger generation.
Saxophonist Ronald Bell, says, "We have a couple of younger people in the band. We wanted to broaden our audience.
"People do get surprised as they expect us to be a dance band, but we are more than just that. If you follow the history of Kool + the Gang, we were an instrumental band, but when disco came along we needed to switch to that kind of music to stay involved and current. We did a rap album, but I don't think people want to hear their fathers rapping."
The rapper teams up with Apple Music on his latest project.
The NBC series ended a decade ago, but Will, Grace, Karen and Jack haven't changed a bit.
Now THAT'S an engagement ring. Good job, Aaron Lohr!
The album is Williams’ first release since 2013’s ‘Swings Both Ways’.
There's already an Oscars buzz surrounding this movie.
