Comic Kevin Meaney has been cleared following his arrest for allegedly elbowing a woman at an airport after police determined it was an accident.
The funnyman was accused of striking a 29-year-old female while waiting for a flight at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York on Tuesday (03Jun14).
Police arrived at the scene following a complaint and arrested the star, who was subsequently charged with misdemeanour assault.
Security footage was reviewed and prosecutors have now determined the contact was accidental, according to a spokesperson for the Queens District Attorney's Office. Meaney will not face prosecution over the incident.
