Jenni 'JWoww' Farle suffered a miscarriage before season four of 'Jersey Shore'.
The 32-year-old TV star has revealed she lost her baby shortly before the cameras started shooting the reality show in Florence, Italy, seven years ago.
During a sit-down chat with co-star Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino, she confessed: ''Three or four weeks before Italy, my grandmother passed, and me and [husband] Roger actually lost a baby. Not a lot of people know.''
JWoww - who has a three-year-old daughter called Meilani and a 23-month-old son called Greyson with her husband - admitted she was a ''f**king mess'' during that season of the reality show.
JWoww explained that because of the medication she was put on, she wasn't able to get a ''handle'' on her life.
She said: ''The medication, it was like Xanax. It would take me down ... it was making me so groggy. Then I started taking uppers.''
During the same episode, titled 'Jersey Shore Family Vacation', The Situation also opened up about his own struggles with drugs.
The reality star explained that some of his erratic behaviour during the same season of the show were a result of his withdrawals.
He said: ''I didn't want to admit it to people at that time period.''
And the 35-year-old TV personality - who has now been sober for two years - admitted he struggled to get himself together during that period of his life.
He confessed: ''I tried to get my s**t together last time we were at 'Jersey Shore'.
''I didn't have it together, but it was a big attempt. I just didn't know how to do it. I was trying to do it by myself.
''I would be sober for a year, but still maybe ... smoking cigarettes, smoking weed. I had to realise my personality was an obsessive personality - anything I did. And I need to have a handle on myself.''
