A rare handwritten letter by celebrated author Jonathan Swift is expected to fetch more than $10,000 (£6,250) at auction on Thursday (27Mar14).
The Gulliver's Travels writer penned the note to Britain's Duke of Dorset in April, 1732 sending the peer and his wife best wishes, before signing off as 'Jonath Swift'.
It is to go up for auction at Nate D. Sanders in Los Angeles on Thursday with a minimum bid of $10,000.
