Ted Neely, America's original Jesus Christ Superstar, has topped a new magazine poll to find the hottest Messiah on stage and screen.
Neely, who led the musical's cast in the early 1970s, has beaten Hollywood's latest Jesus, Son of God star Diogo Morgado, and The Passion of the Christ's Jim Caviezel in the Globe magazine poll.
Morgado also portrayed the Lord in last year's (13) Tv epic The Bible.
Also making the top five: Christian Bale, who portrayed Christ in 1999's Mary, Mother of Jesus, and Jesus of Nazareth's Robert Powell, while Willem Dafoe (The Last Temptation of Christ) and Jeremy Sisto (Jesus) make the top 10.
