Reports suggesting JAY-Z's headline slot at this year's (08) Glastonbury Festival in England has put off event regulars are gathering pace - tickets for the three-day spectacle are still available 24 hours after they went on sale.
Organisers of the legendary British event have been vocal in their damnation of claims ticket registrations were down on previous years because festival-goers want to see rock bands perform at the legendary English festival, not hip-hop artists.
However, tickets are still widely available after going on sale at 9am on 6 April (08). Historically, all tickets have been snapped up within hours of their release.
It had been rumoured Jay-Z - real name Shawn Carter - was so incensed at the adverse reaction to his scheduled performance, he had pulled out of playing the June (08) event.
However, organiser Michael Eavis was quick to refute these reports saying: "I spoke to his people this weekend. Everything is fine. I'm excited."
