Top Irish Tv host Mark Cagney was hospitalised on Thursday (14Nov13) after falling ill during a live show.
The presenter was working on morning show Ireland Am when he complained of chest pains.
He was taken to the Tallaght Hospital in Dublin via ambulance and kept under observation as doctors conducted tests. He is now at home recovering.
A representative for the show's network, Tv3, says, "Mark's feeling well and a lot better now but you have to be proactive in cases like this as he did mention chest pains.
"We imagine that he'll be taking a bit of time off now to fully recover. But we'll be looking forward to seeing him back on Tv as soon as possible."
Cagney's health scare comes five years (08) after his co-anchor Sinead Desmond suffered a brain haemorrhage on the set of the show. She went on to make a full recovery.
