American TV personality BILLY MAYS has been found dead in his Florida home, at the age of 50.
Mays found fame as an infomercial pitchman, most recently advertising OxiClean on U.S. TV.
His sudden death comes just hours after he was hit on the head when the plane he was travelling on blew a tyre as it landed in Tampa on Saturday (27Jun09).
Speaking to TV reporters afterwards, Mays said, "All of a sudden as we hit you know it was just the hardest hit, all the things from the ceiling started dropping. It hit me on the head, but I got a hard head."
Police have told TMZ no foul play is suspected. An autopsy is expected to take place on Monday (29Jun09).
May's widow Deborah has released a statement that says, "Although Billy lived a public life, we don't anticipate making any public statements over the next couple of days. Our family asks that you respect our privacy during these difficult times."
The actor says he isn't "holding out for more money or doing anything like that".
The drama will be making its return to the streaming service in the near future.
