Veteran Indian actor M.N. NAMBIAR has died. He was 89.
The star passed away on Wednesday (19Nov08) in the city of Chennai, formerly known as Madras, after suffering from a short illness.
The actor, born Manjeri Narayan Nambiar, made his name in Tamil cinema with a career spanning six decades, with more than 1,000 films to his name.
He was frequently cast as the villain in his movies, and is most noted for films such as 1957's Makkalai petra magaraasi, 1965's Ayirathil Oruvan, and 1982's Thooral Ninnu Pochhu.
The actor says he isn't "holding out for more money or doing anything like that".
The drama will be making its return to the streaming service in the near future.
