Indian movie director ANJAN CHOWDHURY has died at the age of 63, just a week after undergoing a heart bypass operation.
The Bengali filmmaker lost his short battle with illness at a private hospital in Kolkata, eastern India on Wednesday (21FEB07).
Chowdhury is famous for films including SHATRU, GURUDAKSHINA and MEJO BOU.
He is survived by a wife and two daughters.
